Student Information

Learn how to join the Educational Talent Search (ETS) programs, the activities and field trips that we offer, and what it means to be an ETS student.

Planning your Future

The UC Davis Educational Talent Search programs will help you identify your strengths and structure your future goals. We help 1200 students each year from communities in Shasta and Siskiyou Counties.

With our help, you will complete an educational assessment and an educational plan that will prepare you to succeed in your educational goals. You will be encouraged to achieve a C+ or higher average for the academic year. By the end of the project year, you will enroll in academic courses that will prepare you for college. You will receive a minimum of 10 hours of academic support services. ETS will also help you understand the college preparation process, develop study skills and begin to explore career possibilities. When you apply to colleges as a senior, ETS will help you apply for financial aid.

Campus Trips

If you consistently attend ETS workshops and advisory sessions, you will be invited to special field trips to UC Davis and other Northern California universities. Other events include Preview Day, the Fall Family Gathering, student leadership conferences and college fairs.
