So you want to join ETS? Here are the steps to join and the requirements for acceptance:
The UC Davis North State Educational Talent Search (ETS) program is offered at no cost to students who meet the following requirements:
Upon receiving a student's application, the ETS staff reviews the information and determines if he or she is eligible to participate in the program. Through the United States Department of Education, the federal government allocates funding for all TRIO programs in the nation. Students must meet the above requirements for acceptance.
Once the student's application is complete, program counselors will meet with the student to complete informal interviews to discuss career and educational plans. Once these are complete, the student will receive notification and a certificate for official entrance to the program.
ETS requires that students be dedicated to their educational goals of school success, work to maintain or raise their GPA, attend at least 80% of the workshops at schools, and exemplify a positive attitude at all ETS related activities.
